Is 2017 your year to write a book?

  • To get your published book into the hands of the people who need it most
  • To change people’s lives with your message, experience and knowledge
  • To be recognized as a leader in your field
  • To reach a wider audience and grow your business

  • To change people’s lives with your message, experience and knowledge
  • To be recognized as a leader in your field
  • To reach a wider audience and grow your business

Well, it could be your year, but …

  • You  have no idea where to start
  • You spend more time staring at a blank screen than actually writing.
  • You’ve started a book (or books) but can’t ever seem to finish.
  • You’re  not sure how to translate your idea into a book.

What’s wrong with you?

Other people can write a book; why can’t you? It’s frustrating when you know you’re missing an opportunity to reach more people … to write YOUR book.

How do you go from wanting to write a book to actually writing a book?

Wouldn’t it be great if you knew exactly what to write—and what to write after that? If you could sit down in front of your computer and write easily, knowing that your book will serve both your readers and your business?

Although it seems like it shouldn’t be all that difficult to transform your knowledge into a book, the truth is that you know so much about your topic that it’s hard to know where to start.

It’s not that you don’t have anything to say; it’s that you have too muchand you don’t know how to get it all out there.

What Bootcampers have said:

Sarah’s Book Mapping Bootcamp totally demystified the book writing process for me. It REALLY helped me clarify my goals and set a structure for how to proceed. Her experience from publishing her own books makes her the best person to help new authors like myself. Thanks to Sarah, my book will be done in snap and I won’t have the headache of trying to figure it all out on my own!

Taking part Sarah’s Book-mapping Bootcamp was exactly what I needed. I’ve been ‘thinking’ about writing a book for over a year and this program finally gave me the motivation and the practical skills to complete a thorough book outline in just 2 weeks. Sarah took us step by step through the necessary planning and brainstorming to get me right where I want to be—excited, confident and ready to write! I would happily recommend this program to anyone who wants to streamline their book planning process.

FAQs

What format will the Book Mapping Bootcamp be delivered in?

You’ll get a series of activities delivered by email designed to help you focus on the topic and structure of your book. Most of these will be downloadable worksheets; a few will be links to videos. There will also be a Facebook group in which you can ask questions, get support and brainstorm with your fellow authors. I’ll be doing regular livestreams in the group as well, so you can ask questions during those too.

When will the coaching call take place?

Midway through the two-week program. I’m waiting to see who signs up before setting a firm time as I want to accommodate as many different timezones as possible.

What if I can't make the coaching call live?

You’ll have the opportunity to submit a question beforehand, which I’ll answer during the call, and you’ll get a link to the recording afterward.

What happens if I miss an activity/call or can't keep up?

You can do all of the activities on your own time, and you’ll have ongoing access to any materials even after the program ends. The coaching call will be recorded and the livestream videos will continue to be accessible in the group.

Is the Bootcamp appropriate for fiction as well as nonfiction?

While fiction writers can also benefit from planning their books out in advance, the “rules” involving the points of action and narrative arc are different (and may vary depending on genre). The Bootcamp is designed for nonfiction writers, particularly those who are writing books in the service of growing a business or career.
